Senior Physiotherapist

Patrick is the practice principal of Inertia Health Group, receiving his Doctor of Physiotherapy degree from Bond University on Queensland’s Gold Coast where he completed research as part of his qualification with NSW Police Force – Tactical Operations Unit of which has since been published in the Australian Journal of Strength and Conditioning. He also holds a Bachelor of Applied Science (Human Movement and Health Studies) degree from the University of South Australia and a Bachelor of Exercise Science degree from Griffith University Gold Coast.

Patrick has over a decade of experience as a Physiotherapist previously working in elite sports more particularly in the AFL with the Gold Coast Suns both senior and reserve teams as well as been actively involved in creating their surgical rehabilitation protocols and injury prevention programs as well as on and off field player management. Patrick was also part of the Adelaide Crows Medical Staff during their 2017 Grand Final Season. During his time in elite sports, he received unparalleled exposure to Australia’s leading tendon researchers and their rehabilitation protocols and has developed a keen interest tendon pathology and management. He then went on to spend time working in one of Brisbane’s leading Sports and Musculoskeletal Clinics (Goodsports Physiotherapy Sports and Spinal Care) managing a range of surgical / musculoskeletal and sports conditions/ injury’s as well as ample exposure to managing Work-cover/ DVA and EPC patients. He previously has worked closely with some of Brisbane’s leading shoulder and knee Orthopaedic surgeons and took a key interest in hip and knee pathology. Now working in Adelaide has developed an extensive network of Orthopedic surgeons, sports physicians, radiologists and GPs across Adelaide. Patrick has also been fortunate enough to spend extended times in theatre with one of Brisbane’s leading surgeons Associate Professor Dr Patrick Weinrauch to gain an in-depth understanding of hip pathology / surgery techniques and rehabilitation. Patrick continues to treat a range of people from general population and also still assisting professional athletes in clinic from backgrounds such as the A-League, AFL, NBL, SANFL, NPL and martial arts.

Patrick is a hands-on practitioner who encompasses dry needling or western acupuncture when appropriate and his patients are comfortable. All treatments are followed up with individual rehabilitation exercise prescriptions and progressed appropriately. Patrick looks forward to meeting you and helping you manage or overcome any injury or attain any fitness goal you may be aiming to achieve.

Robert Frick

Senior Physiotherapist

Robert is our longest serving, senior Physiotherapist. Robert graduated from Flinders University in 2017 with a Masters of Physiotherapy and a Bachelor of Health Sciences, he began work here at Inertia Health Group the following year where he was closely mentored by Patrick and exposed to a wide range of musculoskeletal, neurological and sports conditions. He now assists in leading the professional development programs at Inertia Health Group sharing his knowledge with our team of Physiotherapists, playing a key role in our new graduates and junior Physiotherapists growth.

Clinically, Robert utilises a wide range of manual therapy techniques to assist in pain relief and improving joint health and mobility as well as undertaken further training to become proficient in Dry Needling and Cupping Therapies. He has also acted as the match day Physiotherapist for various sports clubs such as the Western Australian Men’s Masters field hockey side. He is the current Physiotherapist for the Adelaide City Soccer Club. Robert is proficient in treating all spinal and peripheral musculoskeletal conditions, he has developed a special interest in treating post-operative ankles, knees, shoulders and hips. He has spent an extensive amount of time in theatre with surgeons observing shoulder, hip and knee surgeries. Robert has also gained experience in treating lesser-known conditions such as benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV) and temporomandibular joint (TMJ) dysfunction. In recent years Robert has furthered his education in treating complex and chronic pain conditions. He currently presents on topics regarding pain sciences through the living well with persistent pain program.

Robert is a friendly, highly approachable therapist; he is always willing to answer any questions you may have regarding your condition and treatment. Robert is passionate about educating his clients and providing them with the knowledge and strategies to assist in helping them manage their conditions and getting them more active in achieving their desired goals.

Lauren Gee

Senior Physiotherapist

Lauren graduated from the University of South Australia with a Masters of Physiotherapy degree as well as a Bachelor of Applied Science Human Movement and Health Studies.

Lauren has a strong interest in working with the athletic population and has had various Physiotherapy roles or worked with athletes across many different sporting codes including Premier League Netball, NBL1 Basketball, SANFL, SANFLW, SAAFL, NPL and the A League (W League).

As well as her passion for sport, Lauren also has a keen interest in post-operative rehabilitation. She has worked extensively with patients who have undergone such surgeries as Total Knee and Hip Replacements, Knee Arthroscopies, ACL reconstructions, Shoulder stabilisation and Rotator Cuff repair surgery along with various others. As well as being experienced in post op rehabilitation, Lauren has also been extensively trained in Dry Needling.

Since becoming a mother herself, Lauren has begun further study into Women’s Health Physiotherapy and is excited to offer this specialty area as part of her service.

Lauren loves chatting with patients and working out how to motivate them to get back to their best. She is passionate about individualising treatment for her clients and provides education, manual therapy and comprehensive rehabilitation and strength and conditioning programs so that each patient leaves her sessions feeling empowered and in control of their own rehabilitation journey from the beginning acute setting all the way along the continuum until they reach their goals!

Anthony Tropiano

Physiotherapist

Anthony graduated from Flinders University with a Master of Physiotherapy and Bachelor of Medical Science. Anthony has experience in working across both the public and private sectors. This included inpatient rehabilitation at the REPAT, Southern Cross Care, delivering rehabilitation in the home through the Mt Barker Country Health Service, Ashford Hospital and a wide range of musculoskeletal presentations. He has a key interest rehabilitative care and helping restore function via exercise programming, as well as a being a very complete manual therapist providing manual therapy to assist in alleviating pain, improving function and performance. Anthony has spent considerable time in theatre with multiple upper and lower limb surgeons to gain an indepth understanding of anatomy and surgical techniques and their interplay on rehabilitation post operatively. Anthony is trained in Dry needling and also utilises cupping as part of his treatment practice where required. Anthony is the current Head Physiotherapist for the Croydon Kings Soccer club in the NPL.

His interest for an active approach to restoring function is supported by his own active lifestyle which has spanned many different sports. In particular where he has has played soccer at a high level.

Anthony enjoys keeping up to date with the latest evidence to ensure that he delivers service and treatments which is supported by evidence, while also staying on top of the latest research.

Anthony is a caring, friendly and personable able to work with a range of individuals with genuine interest in helping people meet their health-related goals. He looks forward to being able to assist you as best he can!

Angus Szajer

Angus graduated from the University of South Australia in 2020 with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy. Since commencing his career, Angus has developed extensive experience across a range of settings, including working as in sporting environments and as a musculoskeletal Physiotherapist in Adelaide and London.

Angus has a comprehensive background in managing a diverse range of patient presentations, including day-to-day aches and pains, sports injuries, chronic conditions, a variety of disabilities, and post-operative rehabilitation. He is committed to delivering evidence-based care and believes that a thorough assessment, combined with a tailored treatment plan, is essential to optimising patient outcomes.

Angus is skilled in a variety of therapeutic approaches, including manual therapy, dry needling, and shockwave therapy. He also incorporates gym-based rehabilitation into his practice, focusing on strength and conditioning to enhance recovery and help patients feel more confident and resilient. Additionally, Angus has expertise in Pilates and hydrotherapy, which he integrates as part of a holistic approach to care when clinically appropriate.

Angus values collaboration with his patients and strives to empower them to take an active role in their recovery, ensuring sustainable improvements in function and quality of life.

Outside of the clinic, Angus enjoys staying active through hiking, running, and social sports. He also has a passion for travel and loves exploring new destinations whenever the opportunity arises. When at home, you’ll often find him catching up with friends over a drink or enjoying live music, combining his outgoing nature with a love of good company and memorable experiences.

Sarah Baker

Physiotherapist

Sarah graduated from the University of South Australia with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy (honours) degree in 2020. She has since worked as a Physiotherapist in the private practice setting continuing to learn and improve her skills and knowledge. Sarah has undertaken further training in dry needling and APPI matwork Pilates, which she now encompasses within her treatments as appropriate. Over the years, Sarah has helped a many people of all ages with a wide variety of conditions.  Her key interest areas include Post Operative rehabilitation particularly pre and post operative total knee and hip replacement, vertigo particularly Benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV), temporomandibular joint (TMJ) dysfunction and management, and thoroughly enjoys treating a wide variety of sports & musculoskeletal related conditions.

Away from work, Sarah is a passionate footballer playing for Flinders Park Football Club.  In 2023, Sarah competed in the ICN bodybuilding competition together with her Dad, placing across the Sports model and Fitness model categories! Sarah has played and competed In a multitude of sports including district basketball. A fun fact is Sarah loves comic books and spending time with her family and friends.

Sarah strives to provide the best care for all of her patients. Providing them with a combination of hands-on treatment, dry needling where required and an individualised exercise program to help them achieve their rehabilitate and meet their health goals. She looks to meeting you and getting to know you, to help you achieve your health, fitness and recovery goals.

Molly Coleman

Physiotherapist

Molly graduated from UniSA with a Masters of Physiotherapy and am very excited to be part of the Inertia team! I previously completed a Bachelor in Sport & Exercise Science degree at the University of South Carolina Upstate (USA) where I also played Division 1 basketball.

My clinical experience in musculoskeletal, neurological rehabilitation, paediatrics, and both rural and metro hospital settings have allowed me to grow my skills and knowledge broadly. I have a particular interest in musculoskeletal and sports, as well as Clinical Pilates which has huge benefits to our patients and better assist the Inertia community.

I like to work alongside patients to collaboratively find the best treatment plan that suits them, typically incorporating hands-on, educational & exercise based therapies. I understand the importance of getting to know clients and building relationships in order to provide holistic and individualised care that specifically works to achieve their goals.

Out of clinic hours, you’ll find me exploring the outdoors or keeping active at the gym. I play basketball for the West Adelaide Bearcats in NBL1 Central and enjoy both watching and playing a range of other sports. I love to travel and would love to hear any holiday recommendations to fuel my next adventure!

Alix Way

Physiotherapist

Alix is a Physiotherapist with a strong background in clinical Pilates and sports rehabilitation. After completing her Master of Physiotherapy at the University of Sydney, she has worked in a private practice specialising in clinical Pilates before relocating to Adelaide. Alix also holds a Bachelor of Kinesiology from the University of the Fraser Valley in Canada.

With years of experience working with athletes, Alix has a particular interest in treating runners and triathletes. She has worked with competitive ice hockey teams in Canada, as well as in soccer, American football, and swimming. In addition to sports injuries, Alix has experience treating a wide variety of conditions, including acute and chronic pain, pre- and post-natal care, post-operative rehabilitation, and neurological conditions.

Alix is committed to her professional development and has completed additional training in dry needling and advanced techniques for the pelvis and lumbar spine. These skills, along with her evidence-based approach, allow her to tailor treatments for each patient’s unique needs, helping them achieve long-term recovery and optimal function.

Alix’s passion for Physiotherapy began at the age of 12, when her own injuries as a competitive soccer player led her to seek Physiotherapy help. Since then, she has been dedicated to helping others recover from injury and build & maintain an active lifestyle. She believes in providing long-term solutions to manage pain and injuries through an active approach, combining manual therapy, western acupuncture & dry needling, exercise, and education to achieve the best possible outcomes.

Outside of work as a Physiotherapist, Alix is an avid runner, cyclist, scuba diver, and skier. She enjoys spending time outdoors and traveling whenever she can!

George D’Agostino

Physiotherapist

George graduated from the University of South Australia with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy (Honours) and brings a genuine passion for making a meaningful difference across a diverse range of settings. His experience spans working with sporting teams in the NPL including Adelaide City and West Adelaide, Paediatric Physiotherapy, supporting children living with disability and managing a wide range of musculoskeletal presentations across all age groups.

George takes an integrated approach to treatment, combining a range of targeted hands-on
manual therapy techniques with exercise and gym-based rehabilitation to deliver the most effective outcomes for each individual. His personal enthusiasm for the gym and sport gives him a deep appreciation for what it takes to help people become independent in their own management — whether they’re complete beginners or advanced athletes.

At the heart of George’s practice is a philosophy that great physiotherapy is built on empathy, evidence-based understanding, and precise execution. This drives him to hold himself to a high standard and continuously grow in his craft. When he’s not in clinic, you’ll likely find George cycling through one of his ever- changing hobbies — hitting the gym, out on the golf course, watching football, reading, or deep in a video game. His warm, easy-going personality means he is always up for a chat (loves a chat!), and with a broad range of interests and a genuine eagerness to help, George is always eager to assist where he can and driven to achieve great outcomes for his patients.

Javier Camacho

Physiotherapist

Javier graduated with a Masters of Physiotherapy from Flinders University and is stoked to be part of the Inertia team. Prior to this, Javier has also completed studies in a Bachelor in Sports and Exercise Science and has over three years’ experience working within SANFL sporting clubs as a Strength & Conditioning coach. He is also currently involved in Physiotherapy support with the West Adelaide Bloods SANFL football team and other SANFL environments, gaining valuable experience working with elite athletic and active populations.

Javier has worked in musculoskeletal, outpatient rehab and acute care as well as sporting roles, this has allowed him to develop broad clinical exposure with a strong interest in musculoskeletal and sports physiotherapy. Working with patients across all stages of injury and rehabilitation he is particularly passionate about helping people return to activity safely, confidently, and stronger than before.

Javier likes to work with patients in a collaborative, patient-centred approach to care, combining hands-on treatment, education, and exercise-based rehabilitation tailored to everyone’s individual goals. He values building strong relationships with patients and believes this is key to delivering holistic and effective physiotherapy outcomes.

Outside the clinic, you’ll usually find Javier playing basketball, football or tennis as well as staying active in the gym, involved in sport, or spending time outdoors. With a strong sporting background, I enjoy both playing and watching a range of sports and am always keen for a chat about training, performance, or the next adventure. Javier looks forward to being able to assist as best he can working hard to deliver great outcomes for his patients.

Kris Marinos

Senior Podiatrist

Kris has a passion for all aspects of Podiatry and foot health with a personal area of interest in the management and prevention of biomechanical and musculoskeletal related issues, and injury in the lower extremity, guided by the most up to date and current research and treatment practices. Kris believes Podiatry is a blend of art and science in both biomechanical foot care but also general foot health and management.

Kris has worked as a Podiatrist for over 4 years in Private practice Podiatry and has worked with a multitude of sporting teams and clubs across different codes in the management and maintenance of athlete lower limb injury and rehabilitation. Kris appreciates clinical variance and broadening his clinical approach to the way he treats patients, and thus, has undertaken extra training to widen his treatment scope including further study and development in Foot Mobilisation Therapy techniques and lower limb Dry Needling and Acupuncture techniques. 

Kris utilises orthotic therapy in combination with exercise therapy to assist in tailoring effective treatment plans for his patients where necessary. 

Kris values patient centred care and working with patients and their goals to best reach an optimal outcome, whether it be in musculoskeletal injury and biomechanical care or general foot health and in grown toenail care, general diabetic, or nail maintenance. Kris believes the key to treatment is positive communication between clinician and patient. He thrives on working with patients to understand their issues, injuries, and pathology to define optimal treatment options leading to the best care and outcomes for everyone.

Teresa Battista

Clinical Exercise Physiologist

Teresa graduated from the University of South Australia with a Bachelor of Clinical Exercise Physiology Degree (Honours) in 2019. As an Accredited Exercise Physiologist (AEP), Teresa has an in-depth understanding of how to use exercise management to prevent disease onset and treat a range of cardiovascular, respiratory, metabolic, neurological, and musculoskeletal conditions, as well as cancer and mental health. Teresa has had experience across a wide range of conditions from working in previous sectors such ACH Group, Southern Cross Care – The Philip Kennedy Health and Wellness Centre and Neuromoves where she was exposed to a wide range of conditions.

Teresa has had the opportunity to work with a diverse client base and enjoys helping clients with chronic conditions getting back to doing tasks or activities they thought they could no longer do. She believes in providing a holistic and client focused approach to treatment in order to help individuals achieve their goals and overcome the physical hurdles that inhibit them from getting the most out of their life. She understands that not everyone enjoys exercising and therefore she will listen to you and work collaboratively with you to provide appropriate ways to stay active and return to the activities you enjoy. Teresa believes in empowering clients with the right knowledge, skills, and tools to manage their own condition to encourage long-term benefits, prevent recurrences and to help you feel more in control of your life.

Teresa has a special interest around low back and chronic pain, musculoskeletal issues as well as balance and falls prevention. She conducted her honours on falls prevention and understands how a fall can lead to a loss of confidence, independence and reduce a person’s willingness to be mobile and active. She enjoys working with people to help improve general strength & conditioning, balance and body awareness to reduce falls risks. This can be done either in clinic as part of her classes or through a home-based exercise program.

Teresa has always enjoyed living an active lifestyle and grew up participating in a number of sports including soccer, taekwondo and swimming. Outside of work Teresa enjoys attending Pilates, training at the gym and playing the piano.

Nathan Jelf

Clinical Exercise Physiologist

Nathan holds a Masters of Clinical Exercise Physiology degree from Flinders University. He has had experience is a wide variety of sectors in both public and private health sector. Nathan has had experience working in Aged care with Southern Cross Care, as well as across general rehabilitation, musculoskeletal and neurological injury in private practice. He has also completed a significant stint of time in Private Practice High Performance exercise working with high end exercise programming and athletes.

Throughout his study in becoming an accredited Exercise Physiologist (AEP) he has been able to develop my skills and knowledge working with clients of all chronic conditions. Nathan strongly believes in providing an individualised holistic approach to every single one of his clients to ensure the most effective and suitable exercise plan is provided, supplying education surrounding topics such as sleep, nutrition, and current/ effective exercise practices. This allows for tailored planning and programming to assist people in achieving their goals.

Nathan’s key interest areas consist of helping individuals rehabilitating neurological conditions, along with assisting in musculoskeletal rehabilitation and sports performance. Nathan has developed and currently heads up Inertia Health Groups Osteoblast classes, aimed at improving the bone density of older adults through group weights and tailored exercise programming.

Nathan has a considerable amount of knowledge regarding cardiorespiratory fitness and prescribing an accurate exercise program to assist you in becoming the fittest version of yourself.

Nathans upbringing and lifestyle consists of staying very active involving him in many different sports such as soccer, AFL, kickboxing and golf. Outside of working at Inertia he enjoys attending the gym and walking my Kelpie Griffin.

Nathan has acquired a large and varied scope of knowledge and experience making him confident he can assist you achieve your goals as best he can.

Tahlia Dnistrjanski

Clinical Exercise Physiologist

Tahlia has studied her Bachelor of Clinical Exercise Physiology University of South Australia graduating with Honours. She has experience working in gyms with strong skills in exercise delivery, coaching, and individualised program design. She also gained broad clinical experience across multiple placements, working with a wide range of health conditions. Tahlia is also currently completing her Clinical Pilates Instructors course, extending her knowledge and management well beyond the gym.

Tahlia has a strong background in high-performance netball, having been a SASI scholarship holder, represented South Australia, trained at the AIS, and currently competes in Premier League netball for Garville. She also runs 1:1, small groups and clinics as a netball coach for children, with a strong focus on skill development, movement quality and injury prevention.

Outside of work, Tahlia leads an active lifestyle, enjoying walking and running, gym training, Pilates, spending time at the beach, and skiing at the river. She recently completed a half marathon and competed in her first Hyrox.

She enjoys working with clients of all ages and across a wide variety of conditions both acute and chronic while adopting a supportive, client centered approach, drawing on both her clinical training and elite sporting experience. Tahlia is dedicated to helping clients move with confidence and achieve their health and well-being goals.

Kelsi Jane Serrels

Remedial Massage Therapist

Kelsi grew her passion for massage and mechanics of the human body at an early age. This led her to complete her degree in Human Movement at the University of South Australia in 2017. She gained huge insight and knowledge in several areas across health and exercise sciences. Throughout this, she found her true interest lying with remedial massage therapy and went on to complete her Diploma of Remedial Massage in 2019.

Being heavily involved with sport, Kelsi understands and appreciates the importance of complementary and allied health therapies. Her sporting passions lie particularly with netball and football. She has played netball at premiere league level and is a huge advocate of the gym.

This has highlighted the need for massage therapy to help alleviate the aches, pains, stress and injuries that are associated with being an active individual or athlete. For the past 4 years, Kelsi has worked as a sports trainer for the Fitzroy Football Club where she has been able to further her knowledge and apply various techniques to a diverse range of injuries and conditions.

From her years of study, Kelsi places an emphasis on a holistic approach to therapy – she believes that massage can not only help in managing pain, but also assists physically, mentally and emotionally.

Kelsi is a warm and approachable therapist that prides herself in client interaction and communication. She loves to help people achieve their goals and assist in improving their overall health, well-being and quality of life. Client care focus is one of Kelsi’s top priorities. She has mastered the integration of several therapy techniques into her treatment plans and she will ensure you receive a specific and tailored approach to your treatment.

Clair Holmes

Pilates Instructor

Clair is an established Pilates instructor within the Pilates industry in SA, with over a decade of experience in teaching various Pilates forms.

Clair holds qualifications in Matwork, Reformer and Clinical Pilates instruction through Polestar Pilates Australia.

Clair has a background in dance and dance teaching. She first discovered Pilates for herself whilst pregnant with her first baby. The positive impact Pilates had on her own body pre and post-natally, sparked a strong interest for Clair to continue education into Pilates teaching.

Since then, Clair has become qualified in Barre fitness and Pilates instruction with continuing education in pre and post natal Pilates. She has experience in teaching group Barre fitness, group Pilates Matwork and Reformer classes and also small group clinical and 1:1 clinical rehab sessions. In 2019 Clair was voted and awarded SA’s ‘Fitness Instructor of the Year’ award, chosen amongst 50 participating fitness and Pilates studios in SA and their instructors.

Clair teaches the traditional style of Pilates method, combining strength and mobility with a strong focus on alignment (and a little added creative flair!). Clair loves the Pilates method for how functional the exercises and breathing is for improving our quality of movement and strength in our day to day lives.

COVID-19 Update - We Are Open

Our Clinic has been classified as an essential service to the community. We assist by trying to keep people healthy as possible and out of surgeries and decrease hospital admissions. At Inertia Health Group we are working hard to keep our patients and team members as safe as possible.

Due to our strict infection control procedures we have been deemed a low risk clinic- we have all completed the government COVID -19 Infection Control Risk Course and have implemented new waiting room procedures as well as intensified our cleaning procedures completing these regularly through the day. We have also implemented a virtual health service for those who require advice or assistance and cannot attend the clinic.
