A referral is not necessary to see our practitioners and you can attend simply by making an appointment. However, we do accept a variety of referrals in our clinic; these include Enhanced Primary Care (EPC’s) and Team Care Arrangement (TCA’s) referrals, Department of Veterans Affairs (DVA), Motor Vehicle Accident and third-party claims as well as WorkCover (RTWSA) referrals or private doctor referrals. **
Changes to the EPC / GPMP Program: As of July 1st 2025 Medicare has transitioned from the EPC/GPMP program to the GPCCMP (General Practice Chronic Care Management Plan) program. The Following changes are in effect at Inertia Health Group from 1st January 2026
Inertia Health Group ACCEPTS GPCCMP referrals (Previously Enhanced Primary Care (EPC’s) & Team Care Arrangements). These referrals are available to be used to subsidise up to 5 Allied Health Visits per year. You must have up to date referral paperwork at the time of making your appointment and ensure all referral paperwork is received by our clinic prior to your appointment with us. Full payment of the consultation fee will be billed at the time of the appointment of which Medicare will reimburse the medicare rebate directly to the patient through the medicare system. Our Clinic has been classified as an essential service to the community. We assist by trying to keep people healthy as possible and out of surgeries and decrease hospital admissions. At Inertia Health Group we are working hard to keep our patients and team members as safe as possible.
Due to our strict infection control procedures we have been deemed a low risk clinic- we have all completed the government COVID -19 Infection Control Risk Course and have implemented new waiting room procedures as well as intensified our cleaning procedures completing these regularly through the day. We have also implemented a virtual health service for those who require advice or assistance and cannot attend the clinic.
