How Do Normatec Compression Therapy Systems Work?
Our Normatec Compression Therapy Systems are the latest in the Normatec Range. We are lucky enough to have full body systems (Shoulders + Arms, Hips, Legs, and an Extra Tall System and short for our taller Athletes).
Stage 1 – Pre Inflation
The Normatec Systems include a specialised air pump control unit which plugs into the specified attachments. The unit produces compressed air which is pushed through the chambers of the attachments allowing them complete the pre inflation stage. This stage will ensure the attachments are specific to your exact body shape.
Stage 2 Cyclical Chamber Compression
During this phase the compression will begin at your feet hands or upper quads (pending the attachment being used).
It applies compression forces through the chambers similar to those experienced during massage, ie kneading , stroking, compressing each segment of the chambers in a pulsing manner.
This will continue for the time set on the control using moving along each chamber segment moving up and down your limbs.
How Long Do I Need to Use the Normatec Compression Therapy Systems?
We recommend that you utilise the Normatec Compression Therapy Systems for approximately 30minutes as a minimum (this has been deemed the most beneficial exposure time frame). However, some people may require use for up to an hour.
It is best to utilise this therapy after your training or competitive sessions as it will help you clear the lactic acid and metabolites from your muscles most rapidly.

The Great news is this awesome technology can be used by anyone. We have some elite athletes use it across the board to weekend warriors.
