Things to Do in Seaton

Tennyson Dunes

Located within the Seaton region, Tennyson Dunes is a beautiful conservation park that offers a variety of activities for visitors. This protected area is home to more than 80 different species of birds, including the Fairy Wren and Rainbow Bee-eater. The dunes themselves are great for hiking and wildlife spotting. There’s also a guided tour to learn more about the native flora and fauna of the area.

River Torrens Linear Park Trail

The River Torrens Linear Park Trail is an excellent choice for a more active and scenic experience. Meandering through the Seaton region, this 30km trail offers fantastic views of the river and surrounding nature. Perfect for walking, running, or cycling, this trail is also great for birdwatching and picnics along the way. The trail also passes by the nearby West Lakes Golf Club, so you can even incorporate a round of golf into your day.

Charles Sturt Museum

A visit to the Charles Sturt Museum is a must for history buffs. This small, albeit informative museum tells the story of Captain Charles Sturt and his exploration of Australia in the early 1800s. The museum also features exhibits on Seaton’s local indigenous culture and colonial history. Visitors can even see some original artifacts from Sturt’s expeditions. Admission to the museum is free, making it a great budget-friendly activity.

West Beach Adventure Park

Head to West Beach Adventure Park for a fun-filled day with the family. Located just a short drive from Seaton, this amusement park offers a host of rides and attractions. The park also features mini-golf, go-karting, and an animal farm for even more entertainment options. With affordable tickets and plenty of food vendors on-site, it’s the perfect place to spend a sunny afternoon.

Henley Beach Jetty

No trip to Seaton would be complete without a visit to Henley Beach. This popular beach offers a beautiful stretch of sand, perfect for swimming, sunbathing, and watching the sunset. But the main attraction here is the jetty extending into the ocean. Take a stroll along the jetty and enjoy panoramic views of the coastline. You can also try your hand at fishing or grab a bite to eat at one of the nearby restaurants.

Henley Square Pavilion

After a day at the beach, head to Henley Square Pavilion for some shopping and dining. This renovated heritage building now houses several shops and restaurants, offering various options for visitors. You can also catch live music performances or events here, making it a great spot for evening entertainment. And with its proximity to the beach, you can enjoy beautiful views while shopping and dining. 

Moseley Square

Another popular spot for shopping and dining is Moseley Square. Located just a short drive from Seaton, this square features an array of boutique shops, restaurants, and cafes. You can also catch street performers and live music on weekends here. And with its proximity to Glenelg Beach, you can conveniently experience a day at the beach and shopping and dining at Moseley Square.  

Semaphore Foreshore

For a bit of outdoor relaxation, head to the Semaphore Foreshore. Located just a short drive from Seaton, this stretch of beach gives tourists plenty of space to spread out and enjoy the sun. You can also take a walk along the promenade or have a picnic in the grassy areas. Water sports are available for those feeling more adventurous, including jet skiing and paddleboarding. It’s a great place to spend a lazy day by the beach. 

South Australian Aviation Museum

The South Australian Aviation Museum is a must-visit attraction for history and aviation enthusiasts. Located in Port Adelaide, just a short drive from Seaton, this museum showcases the rich aviation history of South Australia. Visitors indulge in various aircraft on display, as well as other artifacts and exhibits related to aviation. The museum hands out guided tours for a more in-depth experience. 

South Australian Maritime Museum

Another interesting museum in Port Adelaide is the South Australian Maritime Museum. Located a brief distance from Seaton, this museum highlights the maritime legacy of the state. It presents diverse exhibits focusing on ships, trade, and navigation. Visitors likewise can explore a replica of a 19th-century sailing ship and learn about the maritime history of South Australia.

Our Clinic has been classified as an essential service to the community. We assist by trying to keep people healthy as possible and out of surgeries and decrease hospital admissions. At Inertia Health Group we are working hard to keep our patients and team members as safe as possible.

Due to our strict infection control procedures we have been deemed a low risk clinic- we have all completed the government COVID -19 Infection Control Risk Course and have implemented new waiting room procedures as well as intensified our cleaning procedures completing these regularly through the day. We have also implemented a virtual health service for those who require advice or assistance and cannot attend the clinic.
