Podiatry Fitzrory

If you require regular podiatry care and inhabit the residential hub Fitzroy, look no further than the team at Inertia Health Group. Podiatry is often one of the most neglected areas for your overall health, and the residents of Fitzroy should know that help is just around the corner.

Inertia Health Group is committed to helping the residents of Fitzroy and surrounding areas get on top of their health with podiatry and our physiotherapy, remedial nut, nutrition and exercise physiology services. Your body’s health and any concerns you may have are essential to us, and the highly skilled podiatry team will help you get back to feeling your best.

As mentioned above, many people often do not consider podiatry when they have an ankle, lower leg or foot issue. However, it is the best care you can receive for these areas in Fitzroy. At Inertia Health Group, we want you to feel confident that you’re getting the best care, so we’ve prepared a checklist of what you can expect on your first appointment.

Initial Consultation

Upon arrival for your first appointment, you will meet our brilliant administration team, and they will ask you to fill out a new client registration form. The intended purpose of this form is to provide the podiatry team with your relevant information; our podiatrists must gain a brief picture of your health before they begin treatment.

While our podiatry team is mainly concerned with your feet and whether or not they are functioning correctly, we will likely ask you questions regarding your general health. The parts that make up your body all work interconnectedly, and a problem in one area can cause an effect elsewhere, and this helps us to make our diagnoses and direct treatment accordingly.

Taking action

Our podiatry team aims to understand why you are experiencing pain or malfunction of the feet or lower leg so that we can recommend a short-term treatment and then provide a detailed plan for rehabilitation in the future. Many conditions can significantly impact your foot health, so getting as much information from you as possible is essential.

Conditions such as diabetes, Parkinson’s disease, rheumatoid arthritis, heart & blood flow conditions and peripheral neuropathy can all cause difficulty for the health of your feet. One of the most critical parts of our podiatry job is educating the Fitzroy residents about how these conditions can affect your foot health and how you can help manage it.

Treatment

After the assessment, the podiatrist will begin treatment specific to your condition. We pride ourselves on forming and facilitating positive relationships with our clients from Fitzroy and the surrounds and ensuring your foot health along life’s continuum.

COVID-19 Update - We Are Open

Our Clinic has been classified as an essential service to the community. We assist by trying to keep people healthy as possible and out of surgeries and decrease hospital admissions. At Inertia Health Group we are working hard to keep our patients and team members as safe as possible.

Due to our strict infection control procedures we have been deemed a low risk clinic- we have all completed the government COVID -19 Infection Control Risk Course and have implemented new waiting room procedures as well as intensified our cleaning procedures completing these regularly through the day. We have also implemented a virtual health service for those who require advice or assistance and cannot attend the clinic.

We appreciate our patients doing the right thing also!
